LOW-TEMPERATURE THERMOCHRONOLOGY

Luminescence signals within K-feldspars accumulate at remarkably low temperatures. Because these signals change on timescales of millennia to several-hundred-thousand years, we can investigate active tectonics and landscape evolution scenarios that would be largely irresolvable for other low-temperature systems (e.g., apatite helium, apatite fission track).
